What is All-State Orchestra?
All-State Orchestra is one of the most competitive and high performing ensembles in the state of Georgia. All-State is a rigorous audition process meant for students that have been playing their instrument for several years and have studied privately.
Students auditioning for All-State should be proficient in 3-octave scales, high level sight-reading, and be comfortable auditioning in front of a panel of judges.
If your student is accepted into the All-State Orchestra, they will be invited to the Athens Classic Center for a weekend of learning music and performing with other students from across the state of Georgia. Parents are responsible for lodging, transportations, and supervision while in Athens. The weekend will conclude with a fantastic concert.
